What’s a struggle you have faced as a woman in the industry?
Proving my knowledge, skills and abilities. I work with my husband and many times when he is accompanying me somewhere, people tend to direct everything to him. Many times he has to redirect them to me. I feel women in male-dominated industries have to work twice as hard for half the recognition.
Why did you want to work in the cannabis industry?
I’ve always had a passion and love for cannabis, but never had thoughts of working in the industry. After meeting my husband and realizing I was organically and considerably really great at distillation, the rest was history. I fell in love. Taught me to always expect the unexpected, just never know where you’ll find your purpose.
How do you empower other women in the cannabis industry?
I have employed many women in my business and am a big supporter to all of the industry’s women in cannabis functions. I want IO extracts to be a primarily women ran company! I want to keep breaking the stigma of women’s capabilities all around and eventually mentor other women in extraction!
What’s your favorite Halo Infusions product?
