What’s a struggle you have faced as a woman in the industry?
Having a petite stature and a gentle demeanor, I’ve noticed there’s an assumption I won’t speak up in tough conversations or present an opposing point of view. In these situations, l’ve learned the importance of being able to support what I say with data especially being on the science side of things. I think sometimes there’s an expectation that women should just be agreeable but, it’s okay to have those conversations to push the entire industry forward.

What is your favorite part about working in the industry?
My position entails all things science, from research to product development to testing compliance. I find it incredible to be a part of the industry when it’s still at its inception. I really look forward to seeing how cannabis science evolves as more research and clinical trials are conducted! I’m super grateful for the progress this industry has made and I feel proud to work alongside other talented women who are also advancing industry knowledge and practices.

How do you empower other women in the cannabis industry?
Admiration! I’m lucky to work for a company that has women in positions of power and change, which is amazing to witness. I admire each of them and strive to show that in my communication and in my actions. I also think it’s important to support women-owned business, ventures, and brands within the industry.

What’s your favorite Halo Infusions product?
