Dosing Chronic Health

General Considerations
Ointments are applied topically and have no psychoactive effects.  They are applied directly to the region of pain or irritation.  While cannabis-infused lotions do promote healing and are antibiotic in nature, they should never be used on open sores.
Specific Recommendations for Ointments
Lotions have the best effects if applied to a recently washed body area, as the bathed area will have greater ability to absorb.  Re-application of lotion is also appropriate to obtain longer relief.
Lotion may be kept refrigerated to prolong shelf life.  However, if is used on a regular basis (within 3-4 months), the contents will likely be exhausted before any significant degradation of beneficial effects.
Effects may be felt anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes  depending on patient tolerance, strain potency, and skin condition. Relief typically lasts between 2 hours or more.
There are no precautions for novice versus experienced patients when it comes to lotions.  Simply apply as desired.  If a rash develops, cease using immediately and wash the affected area.
How Much is Too Much?
It isn’t possible to overdose on topicals, though in rare cases, some individuals may have an adverse reaction to some lotion ingredients.  Please consult the Ingredients tab for specific ingredients, and verify any allergies that may exist.
