What’s a struggle you have faced as a woman in the industry?
As a woman in the industry I have faced the struggle of being taken seriously and speaking with authority and that resonates with the group of people that I am with.

What’s your favorite part about working in the industry?
I really love how dynamic it is. The ever changing regulations and challenges is something I love to face head on, climbing the mountain and looking back at how far you have come. Everything that we’ve been able to accomplish in such a heavily regulated and generally unsupported space really brings me a lot of joy and enrichment.

How do you empower other women in the cannabis industry?
It is deeply important for me to recognize all women in the industry, find opportunities for those ladies and even start a mentorship program through Pause. At Pause we are pairing women who already hold leadership positions with those who are seeking something similar. Throughout my career I have always very intentionally reached across, behind, around, everywhere I can, to bring more women along and I feel that is very much our responsibility as other women in this space.
